Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies we use, what they do, and how you can control them.

Last updated: 8 September 2026

This is a general template provided for convenience and is not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified professional and update the company details, contact address and governing law to match your business before relying on it.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include localStorage, which lets a site remember preferences locally. We use both sparingly.

2. How we categorise them

  • Strictly necessary — required for the platform to work (signing you in, keeping you signed in, remembering your theme). These are always on and don’t need consent.
  • Optional — anything not essential (e.g. future analytics). These are only used if you accept them in the consent banner.

3. Cookies we use

pal-cookie-consent (localStorage)Strictly necessaryRemembers your cookie choice so we don’t ask again.Until cleared
pal-progress / pal-notifications (localStorage, demo only)Strictly necessaryStores demo-mode progress locally when no account is used.Until cleared

We don’t currently run third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we’ll list them here and only load them with your consent.

4. Managing your choice

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline optional cookies. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the pal-cookie-consent value (via your browser’s site-data settings), which makes the banner appear again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though strictly-necessary cookies are needed for sign-in to work.
